Pajama pants. Can I get an amen from you other stay-at-home mamas? I mean, let's be honest. How many of you wear them every day until...oh...the hour before the husband come home? Me! Me!
So, they should definitely be cute. So cute that you could go to the grocery store in them. I mean, you gotta change out of your yoga pants at SOME point, right? Well, Harper and I get double points since ours are MATCHING!!
Doesn't everybody love a mommy-and-me outfit??? That's exactly what I thought.
I didn't use a pattern for mine; I simply cut up a pair I got at a yard sale and used them as a template. They were size large, and I needed a small, so I just didn't add any seam allowance. I did add some at the top for the drawstring casing and some at the bottom for the hem.
I finagled a couple buttonholes for the drawstring since my buttonhole foot is MIA, and I sewed a long strip to be a self-fabric drawstring/belt.
I absolutely love how both pair turned out!
Vintage sheets are a super affordable (the one used for these pants cost $3.99 at Savers) way to make cute, comfortable clothes and craft projects. What do YOU like to make with vintage sheets? And have you seen the Vintage Sheet Blog?! It's an incredible source for ideas!
