Activewear Fabric from Sew Kinetic

Activewear Fabrics from Sew Kinetic - and $10 Off!

A few months ago, I opened an online fabric store specializing in premium activewear fabrics. Sewists loved it. The site worked great. The orders were rolling in. Things happened so fast that I never even got around to mentioning it here, but most of my online friends knew about it from Instagram and Facebook.

But I was 30+ weeks pregnant and miserable. Huge rolls of fabric were overtaking my kitchen, and bending over my cutting table (not to mention moving those rolls around) was debilitating. So, after just a couple weeks of being open, I threw in the towel. It was a difficult decision to make because I knew I’d found a gaping hole in our industry, but I did what I had to do at the time.

Well, a couple months passed, and Finn made his debut. I have been feeling great and getting back into the swing of things (which for me means trying to take the internet by storm, LOL). AND, I reopened Sew Kinetic!

Yay!

I have a somewhat limited selection at the moment, but I’m looking forward to fall when I plan to stock fleece, softshell, technical sweater knits and other fun stuff. In the meantime, you can get super high-quality Supplex Nylon Lycras (great for leggings and sports tops like the one shown above), waterproof-breathables (think Gore-Tex for rain jackets) and gorgeous, Triplex Heathers (for amazing tees).

And for a limited time, you can enter code bastegather10 to get $10 off your order of $40 or more (before shipping) through the end of the month (ends at 11:59pm PST on July 31, 2015).

Here are a few of the things you guys have been making from our fabrics and sharing around the web.

No, we still aren’t shipping internationally - just in the US. We’d like this to change at some point, but shipping costs are completely prohibitive for now. I apologize to those of you around the world who want to place an order!

I look forward to seeing what you guys make! xoxo

Does it cost money to list international shipping as an option? Then buyers in other countries can have the chance to decide if they think it is cost prohibitive or not, as they’ll be the ones paying it, will they not?

Yes, but there are other issues as well like having to fill out customs form and estimating costs, etc. :)

Best of luck - I heard about sew kinetic a while back and glad to hear you are back on track. I’ve just opened an Irish online fabric shop and appreciate the work that goes into it. Your fabrics sound fabulous - I’d love to get some for winter but postage is outrageous.
