What? I haven’t posted since August?! I guess life has gotten away with me.
Lots of things have been happening.
First, Harper is getting cuter every day:
I know, right?!
She’s definitely a clothing-optional kind of girl.
As for me, I found out a couple weeks ago that one of my knitting designs has been accepted into the KnitPicks Independent Designer Partnership (!!!). This might not seem like that big of a deal to some of you, but I cried when I saw the email. Like, actually cried. Now, the only thing I am crying about is the pain in my wrist from trying to quickly knit the damn sweater. It will all be worth it in a couple months though!
In other news, Harper started daycare three days a week last month. Not gonna lie; I was going a little crazy. I felt so guilty the weekend before she started, but Scott made me realize I’ve had almost no break since she was born - almost 95 hours a week being a mommy. He has been so busy with his two jobs, he hasn’t had a ton of time to help. And we don’t have any relatives nearby to step in, either. Other than a week here and there of family visiting, I’ve been in baby land for almost a year and a half.
Having those three days has allowed me to focus on taking care of the house, taking care of MYSELF (a little) and working on new knitting pattern designs. OH, and did I mention that I started a business? It’s just a little jobby for the time being… I’ve been doing grading, design and illustration for independent sewing pattern designers.
